About Plugo’s warehouse

Plugo customers’ products are stored in Finland, at Barona’s Avialogis logistics centre in Vantaa, where Plugo’s service operates. The warehouse is located in the greater Helsinki Area close to the Helsinki-Vantaa Airport.

Avialogis was completed in 2022 and is located in Viinikkala, Vantaa, right by Ring Road III — just a few kilometres from Helsinki-Vantaa Airport.

Excellent transport connections to the greater Helsinki area, the airport, and the ports mean fast deliveries wherever your customers are; in Finland, Nordics or somewhere else in Europe.

Avialogis was designed with environmental responsibility at its core and holds a BREEAM Excellent certification.

Warehouse facilities

Avialogis is a logistics centre equipped with the latest, state-of-the-art warehouse technology.

The total floor area is around 31,000 m². The warehouse has two storage solutions: an automated system for smaller products and a pallet warehouse for larger and heavier items.

Smaller products are stored in the automated section, which runs on the AutoStore system — 80,000 bins, capable of processing up to 1,000 orders per hour, with five different bin sizes. Fast, efficient picking, with capacity that scales effortlessly during peak seasons and campaigns.

Larger or heavier products are stored in the pallet warehouse, which has over 40,000 pallet spaces and stands 12 metres tall.

EAN code required

All products to be stored and picked must be labelled with an EAN barcode.

Special requirements for stored products
Hazardous materials	Avialogis has modern ADR-approved facilities for flammable, corrosive, and oxidising substances. Storing hazardous materials is possible, but requires legally compliant information and measures from both Plugo and the customer. Handling of hazardous materials is always agreed separately before the contract is signed.
Electronics	Avialogis has ESD-protected handling areas for electronics.
Tax-free warehousing	Compliant tax-free warehousing can be arranged at Avialogis.
Temperature-controlled storage	Products requiring temperature-controlled storage conditions are not currently covered by the service.

Security

The facility is fenced, locked, access-controlled, monitored by CCTV, and guarded.
